Art By Ron ART GALLEY is a Greater New York entity managed by Ron Atkinson. Ron, a native of Waycross, Georgia first began a relationship with African American Art in his early years. The zeal and commitment still exist a generation later at Art by Ron ART GALLERY. His goal is to introduce to the public and patrons not only traditional artwork and treatments that focus on African American Culture and Heritage, but also cutting-edge African American Art. Ron’s knowledge of African American Art and tradition, as well as Euro-centric Art, is extraordinary and yet Ron is always open to new or different interpretations. Ron Atkinson’s ongoing agenda is to ensure that the scope of viewing material at Art By Ron ART GALLERY is broad enough to fit the interest of virtually every visitor to the gallery. He’s a self-trained impresario dedicated to promoting compelling, relevant and quality African American Artwork. Ron has a long association with a number of African American artist and is familiar with the nuances of the artist whose work are presented at Art By Ron ART GALLERY.
Ron carefully listens to each potential customer’s interest and even shared snippets. In this way, he’s better equipped to recommend artists that have developed treatments consistent with the customer’s artistic inclinations. Ron Atkinson’s philosophy centers on the notion that Art By Ron ART GALLERY must contribute to efforts to reconnect the emotional bridge between African culture and tradition in the Americas continents, and the culture on the mother continent - AFRICA.
